This is the famous Swilken Bridge on the 18th Hole of the Old Course at St Andrews, the Home of Golf. In the background is the Old Course Hotel which borders the 17th Hole. Most British Open Golf Champions have had to successfully negotiate this hotel to win. The Swilken Bridge was made more famous by Jack Nicklaus as he stood on it for photographs and waved to the crowd, on his last ever round in the British Open. Almost every visiting golfer now does the same.
